Happy Mondays / Rafaël Rozendaal (2012)

Rafaël Rozendaal is an artist who uses the internet as his canvas. His work researches the screen as a pictorial space, reverse engineering reality into condensed bits, in a space somewhere between animated cartoons and paintings.

For ten weeks during AND Festival 2012, Rozendaal took to our blog to publish a specially commissioned animated GIF, inspired by the festival theme (‘Success’) for that year and drawing on quotes from some of the most successful people of our time.
