Keeping you safe at AND Festival 2021

Fri 18 Jun 2021

At AND Festival, your safety is of the utmost importance to us, and that’s why we’ve always planned our events in line with Government guidelines. You will know by now that the Roadmap remains at Stage 3, rather than progressing to Stage 4. Our team planned for this outcome and the safety and wellbeing of audiences, volunteers, staff and artists has been central to all our planning. Our events will go ahead as planned, taking place in open air environments, with social distancing measures in place for all venues. We’ll continue to review Government guidance throughout, and comply with all regulations in place at the time of each event.

What we’re doing to keep you safe

At every AND event, you can expect:

  • Events presented in low-risk, outdoor or well ventilated spaces
  • Face coverings worn (unless exempt) by staff wherever audiences are required to
  • Social distancing to be observed
  • Strict, reduced capacities of event spaces
  • To be asked for track and trace information on arrival
  • Sanitising stations and enhanced cleaning schedules
  • Only card or contactless payments to minimise touchpoints
  • Festival staff to have undertaken COVID-19 safety training

Working together to keep our events safe, visitors must:

  • Bring a face mask and wear on site where signage or staff advise, unless you are medically exempt
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Please remain at home, if you or anyone you live with has symptoms of COVID-19; if you’ve tested positive for COVID-19; if you have recently been in contact with someone who has COVID-19; or you have been advised to self isolate. For further advice visit the NHS website

We also encourage visitors:

  • To take a lateral flow test before attending an AND event (available for free, collect from your local pharmacy or order)
  • To practice good hygiene – avoid touching surfaces, your face, and wash your hands frequently
  • To check local guidance, following the introduction of enhanced support around Merseyside and Cheshire, where people should minimise travel in and out of the borough.. Please see here for further information
  • To plan your travel to AND Festival events well in advance and allow extra time
  • To get both doses of the vaccine when you are offered it

Please be aware that if there is a significant change in the risk to public health, events may need to be changed or cancelled at short notice. We will email all ticket holders if this happens. Check our website and social media in advance of attendance for further updates.

You can find out more about our events, and how to contact us in our festival FAQs

We look forward to welcoming you to AND Festival 2021.
