Abandon Normal Devices delivers cutting edge work which attracts the most innovative artists from the worlds of cinema and art. Working in collaboration with the UK’s pioneering tech, science and film sectors AND creates fresh, vibrant and culturally relevant works which recognise the importance of art to inspire and ask big questions in relation to the way we live now.
Over the past decade AND (Abandon Normal Devices) has commissioned over 80 works which have toured internationally to locations such as Berlin, Utah, Shanghai, Italy and Sydney as well as across the UK. These works allow our touring partners opportunities to provide unique routes into contemporary digital culture for their local audiences.
A selection of our works are currently available for touring:
We Dwell Below a multi player Virtual Reality (VR) experience
The Hive an interactive instrument-based installation
My Wall Is Your Filter Bubble an Augmented Reality (AR) exhibition
Heavy Metal Detector a relational public art project which is a cross between a walk, workshop and performance
Where The City Can’t See a screening and performance lecture
In The Eyes of the Animal an immersive 360 VR experience using binaural soundscapes
