New Emergences

The New Emergences Foundation is a Netherlands based platform for amplifying voices underrepresented within digital media culture, electronic music and sound art. They work towards the acknowledgement, presence and inclusion of women, LGBTQIA+, disabled communities, and people of all other ethnic groups combined.

New Emergences organises a discussion series, concert series, and numerous activities such as workshops, podcasts, and online publications. They also provide advice through consultation and promotion of their affiliate network.

New Emergences consists of a group of composers, improvisers, performers, and researchers working in the field of electronic music and sound art. It is part of an engaged music and art community using grassroots activism that desires the honest, the curious, and the provocative.
