Films & Screenings

This year our new cinema programme is an investigation into the cinematographic gaze featuring archival footage, film classics and recent artists’ film and video. From the bird’s eye view to drilling down below we experience aerial locomotion with floating airships, choreographed camera work, satellite feeds and Google Earth. Dazzling feats of cinematic motion, from the Hollywood Golden Era and societal free fall with existential film noir and social commentaries on High Rise living. Join us on a vertigo-inducing journey into the turbulent history of self-elevation.
